How to make Flavorful Hot Beef Jerky
- 2 pound eye of round cut into slices
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- 2 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Combine the soy sauce, ground black pepper and brown sugar in a medium sized container with a lid.
Add steak slices.
Cover with lid and put in refrigerate for 24 hours.
In the oven, place one rack on the top setting and one on the bottom setting. Lay a piece of aluminum foil or a baking sheet on the bottom rack to catch anything that drips.
Insert a wooden toothpick through the end of each slice of meat. Suspend each slice from the top rack in the oven, using the toothpick as a support for the slice.
Bake at 160 degrees for 6 to 8 hours.
